Holding Space

Ladies I’m here for you in whatever compactly you need. I see you handling the whole world and it’s your time for someone to hold space for you so you can be more phenomenal than ever before. We will eat delicious food, laugh. share experiences and you are free to be the Goddess you are meant to be.

1. PRACTICE LOVING-KINDNESS
Loving-kindness is a term rooted in the Buddhist tradition, though it appears in other religious and secular traditions as well.
It describes the reverent present-moment cultivation of compassion and love for another living being, the earth, or the self.

2. USE DEEP LISTENING
When practicing deep listening, we listen not just to hear but to understand. This practice goes beyond any kind of hearing that can be done with the ears. It is listening with the heart.

3. HAVE UNCONDITIONAL POSITIVE REGARD
Similar to loving-kindness, unconditional positive regard is the practice explained by Carl Rogers in which a person holds another with absolute regard. This is the foundation of all healing therapeutic relationships. This practice rests on the knowledge that no matter what the person has done or who the person is, the listener holds them with deep respect, compassion, and positive regard. Sitting with what it means simply being with the person for whom Yvette is holding space.

4. SIT WITH WHAT IS
Sitting with what it means simply being with the person for whom Yvette is holding space. She does not try to change anything and resists the urge to do anything. Yvette is here only to create a safe space for the other person to express and feel their feelings. Sit with you in the hard stuff.

Holding Space

I have found that practicing these essential elements will help make sure we are holding a useful and kind space for you! I will guide you in mindfulness practices specifically for you that will ground, center and replenish you!

5. ALLOW
Allow the other person to feel whatever they are feeling. Yvette will hold her client if they need her to when they cry.

6. BREATHE
Remember to breathe. Checking in with her breath is an effective way to make sure Yvette remains grounded. It will also help her stay connected to her own body, which is the most powerful tool Yvette has in assessing her connection to her client and to herself.

7. GROUND
Yvette must be grounded while holding space for someone who needs it. It’s very important for her to be grounded and solidify it when she’s holding space for others.

8. BEING PRESENT
In order to do any of the things listed above, Yvette must be able and willing to be present at all times. She needs to be open and honestly present with another.
